A Certificate of Origin is a signed statement certifying where an exported item was made and is a Customs clearance requirement in some countries to evidence the origin of the goods. Often required to comply with banking requirements where trade is conducted under Letters of Credit.
An Arab-British Certificate of Origin is a Customs clearance requirement in some countries to evidence the origin of the goods. It may also be requested by the importing company.
Certificates of Origin to be Certified/Legalised by Egyptian-British Chamber of Commerce
An Egyptian-British Certified document may be requested by the importing company.
An EUR1 Movement Certificate is used to support claims for preferential (usually zero) rates of duty in the country of importation. To qualify, the goods must ‘originate’ in the UK and be supported by a correctly completed and endorsed EUR1. The preference system only applies to countries where certain trade agreements exist with the UK. When completing an EUR1 form it is advisable, the exporter or authorised agent consults HM Revenue and Customs Notices 827, 828, 832 to ensure that the goods ‘originate’ in accordance with origin rules.
Some customs may need the signature on official documents to be verified as an authentic signature.
All goods moving out of the UK now need an Export declaration to go with the shipment.Â
All goods coming into the UK now need an import declaration. This is for clearance at the UK border and also your proof of TAX and VAT calculations.
T1 is a transit document which allows for goods originating outside the EU to cross borders freely within EU and other NCTS countries.
Available in conjunction with your export declaration, our existing service provider SGS will supply the guarantee for customs duties and taxes on a pay-as-you-go basis.
Official Letters and certificates can be certified/legalised by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Signature verification for documents requested by external sources for example Certificate of Free Sale, Health Certificates, Employment letters etc. Please download cover sheet to accompany your original documents prior to submitting either in person at the Chamber Office or by post.
A letter of credit is a document from a bank guaranteeing that a seller will receive payment in full as long as certain delivery conditions have been met. In the event that the buyer is unable to make payment on the purchase, the bank will cover the outstanding amount.
