Business Excellence Ayrshire 2017
'To help make commitment to excellence a way of life in Ayrshire'
Business Excellence recognises those small and medium enterprises who strive for continuous improvement in their business.
This prestigious accolade rewards those Small and Medium enterprises based in Ayrshire who are committed to excellence and follow a path of continuous improvement.
And Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce has launched the application stage for Business Excellence 2016 with a revised process to allow more organisations to participate. The application will stimulate self-assessment and set a pathway to take your business forward.
The award is free to enter and open to any company with less than 250 employees in the manufacturing or service industry with the winners announced in Spring 2017.
Nicola Sykes, Project Executive, Business Excellence Ayrshire, explained: 'The Business Excellence Award is not only a prestigious award, but also a hugely beneficial process for your business.
'The unique application process requires you to evaluate your own business and performance. Ayrshire has many top achieving organisations as is shown in the Ayrshire Business Awards. Perhaps it's time for you to think about the next step to help you sustain your success?
'You may not realise it, but there are many businesses doing things without considering what they are doing may be considered as excellent in a formal setting.'
So, if your business is following a path of continuous improvement, involved in: Investors in People, ISO 9000, ISO 14000, Charter Mark, Six-Sigma or any other of the main innovation or quality programmes, why not enter?
The fundamental concepts of excellence can be recognised in top performing organisations be they large or small, for profit or not for profit. While the labels that are attached to these can sometime be off putting, there is no doubting the value to the business.
