Welcome to The Ayrshire Business Awards 2024 brought to you by Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce.

 

The Ayrshire Business Awards are established as the leading awards ceremony for Ayrshire business and are a highlight of the business calendar. Attracting high profile industry support and involvement, the Awards offer Ayrshire businesses the opportunity to promote major achievements and celebrate success.

 

The awards provide the ideal opportunity to promote business achievements, raise profile and recognise success.

The quality of entrants has continued to increase year on year, and with free application entry, all Ayrshire organisations are encouraged to apply.


By entering these Awards, companies gain recognition and publicity for their achievements, successes and accomplishments.

Please note, businesses can apply for a maximum of 3 categories at the 2024 Ayrshire Business Awards.

Businesses that have previously won an award in 2023 are not eligible to re-apply for that specific award in 2024.

 

 

Meet our 2024 award categories!

This category is open to any business in Ayrshire, irrespective of size or sector, that has recruited, or is training, an Apprentice. An apprentice is a member of your staff who is training while they earn and is working towards a nationally recognised qualification.  

 

This award recognises businesses achieving growth across a range of metrics. Open to businesses that operate with up to 10 employees, including sole traders. Entrants should be able to present a strong performance record, demonstrate a credible plan for continued success and explain how their business differentiates itself from its competitors.

 

This award recognises businesses achieving growth across a range of metrics. Open to businesses that operate with up to 11- 50 employees. Entrants should be able to present a strong performance record, demonstrate a credible plan for continued success and explain how their business differentiates itself from its competitors.

 

This award recognises businesses achieving growth across a range of metrics. Open to businesses that operate with 51 or more employees. Entrants should be able to present a strong performance record, demonstrate a credible plan for continued success and explain how their business differentiates itself from its competitors.

 

This award is open to any business with a registered charity number. Entrants will need to show how they are making a difference to people living, working or studying in the area, or otherwise address local social needs.

 

This award is open to all organisations, including Social Enterprises from all sectors. Entrants must detail how they enhance the social or environmental opportunities for the people who live in the local communities in which the organisation operates.

 

The Community Wealth Building Award recognises and celebrates innovative projects and organisations that are making significant contributions to building wealth within Ayrshire through sustainable, inclusive, and purpose-driven activities. 

 

This award is open to organisations who have developed a partnership with a school, further/higher education establishment or community group that prepares young people for the world of work.

 

Recognition of a business which is passionate about environmental sustainability and is driving positive change for people and the planet. Entrants must evidence how their business activities are driving change and how the impact is measured both in their business and the community.

 

This award will go to the outstanding individual who demonstrates incomparable vision and leadership qualities within a pioneering business. Judges in this category will be looking for evidence of the innovative strategies implemented to consistently drive the growth curve and the leadership values that underpin your organisation.

 

Recognition of a company which has demonstrated significant international growth proving borders are not a barrier to trade. Entrants must evidence their approach to growth, sales, marketing and distribution and how this has positively impacted upon the business.

 

Open to any organisation, irrespective of size, involved in the hospitality sector in Ayrshire. Entrants must evidence strategies and objectives for achieving growth, together with how these will be achieved and how your business enhances the hospitality profile in Ayrshire. 

 

This award is open to businesses which have successfully developed innovative products, technologies or services, or who have developed innovative ways of doing business with customers. Entrants will show a high degree of creativity and dynamism and will be exploring ways to exploit their innovation to its fullest potential.

 

Recognition of an organisation in its early stages showing entrepreneurship and innovation, with a determination to succeed. Entrants must detail what led to the formation of their business and the process undertaken to get their product/service to market.

 

This category is open to any organisation, irrespective of size, involved in the tourism, leisure, visitor attractions or hospitality sectors in Ayrshire. Entrants must be able to evidence commitment to growth and success in achieving their planned objectives and have a clearly defined vision for growing their business.

 

The Award for Health at Work has been designed for organisations who can demonstrate a commitment to improving their staff's health and wellbeing through inclusive and imaginative programmes.
